CHAPTER

Is There a Neural Component to This?

Some people are of the opinion that the exercise and doot changes are probably predominantly neural. I'm not there yet, i think there could be some local changes at the muscle which might be able to explain why some groups get stronger than others. We don't have a lot of evidence for this and there's a lot ofevidence against this. But i do think that there probably is a huge neural component but i i don't know that there isn't something going on at the local level that is independent of a change in muscle size.
