The Importance of Understanding and Leading

The army and the Marine Corps had us out there on, you know, they wanted us to support every operation that they did. If we made some kind of a mistake, what we would do is raise our hand and say, Hey, here's what happened. Please come and investigate. That's how you maintain the moral high ground. You take ownership of what you do. And then you do the right thing. You do the legal thing.You do the lawful thing.
