In some animals, subcutaneous fat can act to raise body temperature because it acts like an insulation system. Some people who tend to store the fat more preferentially as visceral fat have better vascular endothelial function where they're resistant to effects of fruit dose. If you've been obese for a very long time, you may or may not be able to show a big effect of fruit doses on your mitochondria. Exercise really helps rejuvenate those mitochondria and that is absolutely the way to go for people with obesity.
