I think that a lot of the democratic culture in our country has been sacrificed on the altar of empire. Our institutions are still operating mostly in this hierarchical structure. We haven't figured out if we have a flattened network information architecture, we don't have a governance architecture that is particularly networked. And very specifically, I think software developers have done an incredibly poor job of like giving you tools to be able to organize and stack your beliefs around information.
