This work touches consciously and unconsciously the core part of being human that says, I'm either good or bad. The book is really centered around a compassionate approach to racial justice. We have always used protest, shame, blame, anger, upset and rightfully so. That's an important strategy in marginalized communities coming forward and for change in an acting change. But we unfortunately don't realize that we're using those same strategies on individuals,. On our coworkers, on our family members, on our neighbors and especially on social media. Those things just don't work particularly well.
