The Importance of Proxies at Work

Proxies, false ones in particular, are responsible for a lot of trauma and injustice. We need those proxies because there are lots of people who want to gig and not that many gigs. Most of online dating is about swiping based on proxies that may or may not have anything to do with whether someone else is going to make us happy. What I want to talk about today is the proxies around our lives at work. Who we hire, how we hire them, how we decide, and how we process what happens next.
