How to Measure Your Business Better
KPIs, they're theories. They have to be tested. Do they have any predictive value? If they're not helping you run your business better, get rid of them because there's nothing worse than measuring for the sake of measuring. We measure things inside the firm that the customer could care less about. How many hours did it take you? And all these, ask yourself why FedEx measures on time arrival? Are we achieving our transformation goals? I think is even better. But we should be measuring the things that the customer measures, or at least feels or experiences to determine our success.
