Parenting a Growth Mindset

How do we help children develop a growth mind set? One way is to talk about how that can be true, and ask the child to articulate that for themselves. The second kind of thing is to think about every day practices, everyday interactions and what those are conveying, even inadvertently, to kids. Kids tend to draw strong inferences from their parents reactions to mistakes. And if you, as a parent, have the belief, even implicitly, that mistakes are kind of bad, then that is your reaction to your child's mistakes.
