The Effects of Caffeine on Muscle Glycogenesis
We used to think the effects of caffeine was very much physiological and you needed a high dose, maybe up at eight milligrams per kilogram body mass. I think a lot of that is kind of in dismiss now and it's much more on the neural side of the effects it's having as an adenosine antagonist. So someone doing a two or three hour prolonged ride on a bite then yes, I think it could be useful. But I do wonder, do we run the risk of all the stimulated when we've got also the adrenaline of walking out in front of a full twicken? And fortunately, most of us will never play at that level.
