Middle Nietzsche - The Same but Different From Later Nietzsch
In one of the aphorisms to follow entitled hope as arrogance, middle Nietzsche provides another great example of how he's the same but also different from later Friedrich. He says that it's a certainty that our social order will melt away. But when it comes to whether one should desire that it melts away, one could only believe this if they had inexhaustible hope and such a hope would constitute arrogance. Here he seems more opposed to anyone who would bring on the fall of the social order.
