The First Contrast Workout I Did for College Football Players
I did a three week block of contrast training where we had approximately 65% of their one RM in the squat on the bar, plus chains. So and I had them do two rep sets as fast as possible. Then they would rest it honestly with four guys in the group. It was anywhere between like 15 seconds and a minute between squat sets and 10 yard sprints. All seven boys PR in the 10 yard sprint. And these were guys that I had been training. These were like higher level college football players with the chance of going to the NFL.
