The Power Breath and the Grunt
When you're breathing heavily, like that, elastic recoil assists the diaphragm and pushing air out. But then there's a pulse in the intercostals and the oblique wall. That charges the muscles to accelerate. It gets the air out of the lungs faster, but it also creates a superstiveness. So when Venus serves the ball and goes, that superstiffins the core and even more miles an hour are expressed distal to the shoulder.
