We cannot build socialism when the left is so fragmented, dysfunctional and incapable of moving forward. We need to build socialism so that we can actually get rid of the police. And if you want to fucking abolish the police, man, I'm all for it. But in our current extremely hierarchical capitalist society, what you end up with is just capitalists with private armies. That's not a socialist world.
