The Importance of Indirect Subsidies

The US government throws a lot of money at farm subsidies. The dairy industry has been very successful and lobbying for all kinds of direct subsidies. But the chicken and pork industries, they're more reliant on indirect subsidies. They get really cheap grain and they don't have to pay for any of the other things that people normally have to paid for.
