The most successful salespeople are the ones who take every opportunity to step away from you and let you be the one to come to them for more information. Think about how powerful that is psychologically. A good salesperson knows at every opportunity, back away and test, let the person come back to you. When I ask for information, I'm in the driver's seat, I'm making the decision and I feel in control, even if I'm not.
