The Importance of Base Training for Endurance Athletes

All endurance athletes need to elevate both their arobic and anarobic capacities. This is especially true in relatively short events such as the 800m or teen hundred meters. The biggest stimulus to increase while any kind of training stimulus is the volume of training. And because these slow twitched fibres have a lot of endurance in them, they require a stimulus that will fatigue them for adaptations.
