Traction and distraction come from the same Latin root, or hara, which means to pull. The opposite of traction is distraction, any action that you take that pulls you away from what you do. External triggers are these notifications, the pings, things, and rings,. If we don't do what I call hackback, these external triggers so that we make sure that we only keep the ones that serve us as opposed to the ones that we are serving, that can get us into trouble.
