Restaurant Burger Sales Are Down 9% in 2019 Compared to 2022
Sales for plant-based burgers were down 9% at the end of November of 2022 compared to November 2019. That means that burgers peaked in restaurants or they were higher in restaurants. So it doesn't surprise me that burgers are down because you've seen a plethora of other kinds of products come in, sausages and chicken and nuggets. "I don't think that we can compare to say 2022 without looking at what things we're doing in 2019," he says.
