"I was not in a good mental space because I'm like I need to get out," he said. "It was just it was too much on my head and there's too much going on on my mind" He says his marriage had been broken by the events of that deployment, which left him emotionally kind of broken. The former soldier is now married with three children but still struggles with alcohol addiction.
