Antioxidants in Vegetables and Super Foods
There are antioxidants in animal foods. Everything that's good can also become bad. A lot of antioxidants can actually convert to pro-oxidants, and then it can do exactly the thing that you want it to protect you from. So there's a fine balance. And then the argument is if you are eating a no, mostly like no veggie, no plant diet, then there's less inflammation in the body anyway. You don't even need that level of antioxidants because your your body is eating foods that are less toxic on the body.
