Golf is an environment that can be seen as a fall or ally. If we look at the golf course almost as a dangerous place where mistakes can happen and things can go wrong, then it's more of an ally to create shots. In other sports like tennis you could see your opponent as being part of the process of drawing out the best from you. Both Federer and Nadal became the players they were partly as a result of their great rivalry.
