Atrial Fibrillation - Should I Use Rate or Rhythm Control?

There's been a controversy over whether we should use rate or rhythm control for people with stable atrial fibrillation. Data from the early 2000s from trials showed that there was no difference between rate and rhythm control strategies. Recent trials, especially with catheter ablation, such as kabana and cassile of trials, showed that catarter ablation decreased the recurrence of atrial fibillation and the AFib burden. But we know that trying to achieve sinus rhythm with anti-arithmic drugs is probably equivalent to rate control.
