There's some really interesting work that's only tentatively, at least it's not easily available but I've come across some work by David Michael Levin who's done a lot of work on somatic approaches to philosophy and spiritual transformation. But he's taken some deep looks at alchemy and Western esoteric tradition and done a kind of reframing.
