If you're an endurance athlete and HRVs are continuously going down, it's definitely a sign that something is wrong either in your sleep, in your daily stresses or very often in your work life balance. All those things need to be investigated and changed so they don't get too sympathetic all the time. It comes down to not only performance, but also health as well.
