The Different Phases of Periodization

It depends on if your goal race decides which of those different systems you're going to use basically. But the philosophy is still the same. So with that in mind, you have some specific phases of periodization that you lay out in the book. That would be a way of training that could be used by almost any athlete but some methods may prove to be better for certain types of athletes and certain types of races also.
