Purdue's MS-Contin

Purdue scientists were developing a similar drug, basically a time release version of an old opiate called Oxycodone. By 1990, there was ample evidence that MS-Contin had a dangerous potential for abuse. It had already become one of the most abused prescription opioids in the United States.
