There's no link between your foot shape and what type of shoe you need when it comes to reducing your risk of injury, says am benonigg. What we do recommend is that runners try a whole bunch of different shoes before they find the one most comfortable for them. Am: If someone has a soft heel or big heeldrop with a lot of foam underneath their heel, then there can be an overstriding pattern which isn't good for efficiency.
