How I Moved My Way Through the Food Service Industry
I worked in food service quite a bit, but not nearly as extensively or as recently as you did. I would say the traditional entry into the industry is oftentimes doing busing or hosting. And then those are the roles you can kind of get really good at and proficient at to move your way up through front of house. The only way you can really have that is if you work at like one restaurant the whole way. Otherwise, I do think it often kind of is this zigzag loop, deloop path that people have.
