What Are the Key Components of NIR and Wet Chemistry?
The type of analysis that I like to see is the breakdown between degradable and soluble protein in feed stuff. With dairy operations, some of the more recent advances in dairy nutrition are quite interested in fiber digestibility. On the beef side, we don't tend to go that direction to the same degree that you see with dairy operations. The final thing I'd like to look at there is energy prediction; just depending on the lab will really depend on where the package on how it's done.
