I'm Taking a Day Off From Running
I'm sure psychologically that felt like a vacation that you were treating yourself. It was almost like a day at the spa for someone who was training so hard. I decided I liked taking a complete day of rest two days before my most important race of the year. And then the day before I would do maybe a 20 to 25 minute run and a few strides, which for me at the time was, was extremely light. That's what I found kind of balanced, getting me physically to the line rested, but also mentally comfortable and confident.
