First therapy appointment can be really scary especially if it's your first time or you don't really know what to expect. The person you're seeing needs to lay a bit of groundwork and you're going to need to help them with that. You might not have one or at least be able to label exactly what's wrong at that moment so use the opportunity to outline these things to your therapist. If you exit your first session and you feel like you didn't have much to say maybe I'm fine maybe I don't need help then go back for more sessions.
