Dr. Edith Eger was born in Slovakia back in 1927 to Hungarian Jewish parents. Was drafted to Auschwitz when she was 16 and witnessed with her own eyes as her mother was sent to the gas chamber. She had to dance to entertain the Angel of Death, the German general that was sentencing people to their death. As she did, and perhaps was given a small piece of bread, she took that back to take care of her sisters to show us the ultimate, ultimate form of angelic behaviours that humanity can reach.
