Why Is Junk Food So Much Cheaper Than Healthy Food?
In the United States we went from having roughly 3,000 calories a day available in the food supply for every man, woman and child to 4,000 calories. There's an increase of about 1,000 calorie a day during the period from 1980 to 2000. In Canada junk food is pretty cheap, especially compared to healthy food. I mean you can get like 2 liters of soda for like 2 dollars and it's not that much more expensive than water.
