The Importance of Balanced Conversations

I think that things are tipping back and we are seeing a bit more freedom of speech. Any sort of restricted speech or any sort of conversation that is silenced is usually it's usually good masquerading right? I like about the U.S. is that in the states one of the things that is very important in the states is keeping your government in check, he says. "A lot of Canadians do get it but ... they're completely childish dumb"

like what we resist is actually the thing that we need yeah so but you know mushrooms are one of these things where it's like it's very it's you can talk about it in the common culture today but how do you think about things you can and won't say publicly and how do you bridge the line between the things that you feel versus the things that you can actually share or from your perspective is like everything is fair
Speaker 1
game right I understand the question you can you know the certain ways like where you can hit like sort of like off-limit territory but you can kind of like do it in a you can the key is letting people read between the lines interesting so you can kind of like have certain like imply certain things without outright saying anything that that you know goes too far in the certain landscape we live in where where people are frickin crazy but I think that things are tipping back and we are seeing a bit more freedom of speech and we are seeing a little bit more balanced conversation that's very very good and very very powerful and that should be a good thing for pretty much everyone any sort of restricted speech or any sort of conversation that is silenced is usually it's usually good masquerading or it's it's evil masquerading is good oh you know we're doing this to avoid hurting people's feelings it's all garbage you have to have the ability to have conversations and you have to have the ability to you know you have to have the ability to have to say things and have disagreements and and have you know this is very very important once you take that away then and again you have to understand that the power most power is from the government right so the individuals like what I like about the U.S. is that in the states one of the things that is very important in the states is keeping your government in check and I think that's incredibly important I think it Canadians I think a lot of Canadians do get it but but a lot of Canadians are completely childish dumb like you know they're they're completely naive is the word the reality is is that when the government has too much power and they always get they don't get power by telling you oh you know you know by trying to restrict your your freedoms for no reason they always do it with the hit like they always do it with good intention or doing this for you for you and and and and you know if you have an IQ you can see through it and you can see where this goes and the you know you see the government always goes too far and just just like when you know we acquiesced for the lockdowns we acquiesced for the mass we acquiesced for X Y and Z we kept acquiescing you know it just became more and more and more and it wasn't till we sort of pushed back and said you know enough enough enough that like we finally got some semblance of of normality back at least that was the way in Canada and so if you keep acquiescing then you're gonna be living in a world with very little freedom and so you have to understand that the government and and and the way that power is structured they want they it's like they don't want power and of course they want more power they of course they want more power and so keeping the government in check is the most important thing that you know you can do and I think the states seems to do a better job at that although it's not even perfect but I do understand like that they do have that sort of the ingrained in their culture.
