How to Reduce Calcium Ion Accumulation in an Advanced Lifter

Dimas: I think ultimately, it's about identifying the physiological differences between an intermediate and advanced lifter. And then moving from those fundamental physiological differences to what does that mean in practice? Dimas: We want to reduce the amount of stretch that the muscle fibers are experiencing when they're activated. That's going to cause extra cellular calcium ions to enter the muscle. He says training with slower tempos could potentially cause more calcium ion accumulation because it causes less metabolite related fatigue.
