Diabetic Nephropathy - What's the Difference?
The takeaway here is that diabetic nephropathy usually progresses gradually over time. Some of these other primary secondary causes of nephrotic syndrome, you'll see a bigger delta jump over time in proteinuria. Another group of patients to biopsy early are those with minimal change disease who don't get better with steroids. But there isn't really clear guidance or a magical delta number to guide us.
