People who lose weight quickly on a diet early tend to have better long term outcomes. It's nothing to do with physiology, it's really just those people buy in early because they see some weight loss. I think that messaging gets lost in a lot of the dietary like back and forth on social media. The reason people don't achieve success isn't because they didn't have the right carb to fat ratio or, you know, because they weren't timing their meals.
