Albumin Lasex in a Nephrotic Syndrome?
The problem with patients with nephrotic syndrome is that our loop diuretics often just don't work as well. In a phrotic syndrome where patients have low albumin, that lasex isn't getting there efficiently. So unfortunately, while our patient was waiting for her kidney biopsy, she was so uncomfortable with her swelling that she actually ended up going to the emergency room and got admitted for volume overload.
