Aristotle's Rhetoric Is Like Boxing

Rhetoric has a number of things in common with one final aristitelian work. The poetic seems incomplete since it famously lacks a discussion of comedy, deals mostly with tragedy. Aristotle mentions a number of arguments which seem to be anthemems, but don't qualify because they are downright fallacious. But that doesn't mean that they are allowed to be invalid. Rhetoric may not be philosophy, but like philosophy and boxing for that matter, it does have rules.
