Getting Your Lungs Expanded - Is That Really Important?

We're looking to get the ribs to expand and in the lower back, to expand to the sides and backward a just to maximize that lung capacity and tension. We teach people a down and forward, a protraction and an upward rotation of the shoulder blades is a little nerty. And just being able to splay the shoulder blades around the rib cage a helps you create a lot of tention. So we can defy kind of confound but as far as the retraction, like all all that's fine. I think we've been cued for a long time, like down and back is where your shoulders should be.
