A lot of people think that the way we should negotiate follows the spice market in turkey. It has always seemed to me to be automatically adversarial, right? The person on the other side thetable usually wants to give you as little as they can get away with. And so what i want you to try and do is, when you see somebody acting like a jerk, get them off the ledge. Don't fight fire with fire. As smoky the bear would say, put out the fire. Fight fire with water. But let's start with how you should be thinking of this as a pie rather than just a back and forth. What does that pie mean to us in a negotiation
