"These maladaptive coping strategies aren't mental health disorders," he says. "I think that if you've got a problem you just roll into a tiny little ball and hide it in the back of your head and forget about it which isn't right." Instead there's a middle ground of stepping away, but how does one do that? One way is to challenge the unhelpful thought by writing evidence on a pad or something somewhere in your house with what is the evidence for this thought written on it. And when you've done that get all of them wristbands.
