The Motor Neuron Theory of Muscle Cramping
A theory called altered ner muscular control, or the motor neuron. A hypothesis for muscle cramping. This came about in the eighties and the nineties. It hypothesises that there is a muscular fatigue and neuralogical component to why the muscle cramps occur. If it were just as simple as staying hydrated and making sure you are getting enough salt, we would have fixed it by now. But clearly that is not the case.
