The SEC's Concerns About Wholesalers

The SEC believes that wholesalers are giving worse deals to retail trades than the retail trades would get if they all went to an exchange and everyone bidded on the ability to fulfill those trades. One of the reasons the SEC thinks that retail traders get a poor deal is because some wholesalers pay to some brokers this thing called payment for order flow, which we heard a lot about during GameStop.
