With the shift towards more radical political groups, there was also growing support for more radical actions. Most of this radicalism would crystallize around the Partito, Sociolista, Obrero, Español or PSOE. Caballero was pushing for more radical movements against the wishes and advice of many more moderate Socialist leaders. Even with others counseling for caution, Caballero and others began preparations for a revolutionary general strike.
