The Micro Stress Effect
A negative experience or interaction has three to five times the impact of a positive one. People who were just naturally good at rising above were also naturally good at finding ways to make sure their life was not narrowly focused on work and home as important as those are. The people in our research who were best at coping with or inoculating themselves really against micro stress baked what we call dimensionality into their lives.
