Sugar Doesn't Cause Diabetes
Many carbohydrates that we eat can contribute to diabetes more than others. I don't think grains and beans are good sources of carbohydrates for humans. Most people need at least 100 grams of carbohydrates a day, at least. At a high level, you fix diabetes by improving the quality of your diet.
