The EPA Case: A Brief History

The EPA case is fairly unique having made two trips to the Supreme Court in now 10 years, so one in 2012 and again this year. Michael and Chantel Sacket own a two-thirds acre residential lot in Bonner County, Idaho. Their property lies just north of Priest Lake but is separated from the lake by several lots containing permanent structures. In preparing to construct a house, the sack is filled part of their lot with dirt and rock before some months later they received a compliance order from EPA.
