How can you predict fluid responsiveness in patients? This has been subject of several studies. Static parameters, especially static filling pressures, are not good to discriminate patients that will or will not increase their cardiac output after fluid challenge. In order to make a more educated assessment, we can use dynamic measurements such as the passive leg raise and heart lung interactions.
