Is There a Balanced Approach to Protein?

Protein is not a macronutrient unlike carbohydrate or fat that can be stored. You have to use what you ingest essentially within three to four hours after a meal. Most people have a lower protein breakfast and then slightly more at lunch and then the majority at say dinner time. But it does appear that the way the body likes to function from remodeling muscle is that balanced approach is best.
